COMMENTS FOR CASH! Save the date: March 29th! YOU choose how much WE give to Japan | Damion Hamilton

If you have just a couple of minutes, mark your calendars for Tuesday March 29th, where you can help us give big!  Here’s a video that will give you an idea of what we’ve got planned and how you can be a part of it!

Comments For Cash from Damion Hamilton on Vimeo.

If you’d rather read it, here’s the text!

THE SHORT VERSION: Although Japan might not be in the front page news every day still, it is an important part of our daily life as a business because each of our wedding clients walks away with a wedding album that’s handmade in Japan. We have found that some of the family members of our album company’s employees are displaced in shelters in some of the hardest hit areas of Japan. The orphans, the food, and water shortages, it all breaks our hearts. We want to do more! We have to do more!

THE SCOOP:
On Tuesday March 29, we will featuring …”COMMENTS FOR CASH” on our blog! Between 12AM and 12PM PST, please visit our blog at www.DamionHamilton.com (select blog) and for every individual that leaves a comment on our blog post (one per person only please), we will donate 10 cents directly to Japan, with a limit of 10,000 comments. You get to determine how much we give! Every cent of every dollar of all donations will go straight to meeting needs for the victims in Japan! We will not be collecting email addresses nor distributing them in any way, this is solely for charity!

WHAT YOU CAN DO:
1) First of all, comment on March 29th! Ten seconds of your life for ten cents!

2) Secondly, please spread the word about COMMENTS FOR CASH to as many people as you can! Please tell as many people as you can by word of mouth, blogs, twitter, fb, everything! We want as many comments as possible!

3) The real power behind this campaign is in the power of multiplication. If you or your business would like to stand with us as PLEDGE PARTNERS, please email us your pledge amount, your limit, and your logo. All Pledge Partner logos and links will be posted on our COMMENTS FOR CASH blog post.

or 4) You can join the COMMENTS FOR CASH campaign by replicating it on your own blog to reach your own circle of influence! If you are going to participate in this way, please send me a link to your site so that we can publish that as well and get more people to your site too!!

Here’s a link to join our Facebook event and spread the word by inviting others as well!

DON’T FORGET!!! NEXT TUESDAY!!!!

Keep giving, Damion & Julie

Wanting to address the “cynic”… This event goes far and above directing traffic to one blog. The Hamilton’s hope is that a large pool of photographers and business professionals from all over the nation will jump on board with this effort. The picture is far bigger than $1000 donation! They are giving God a chance to move in a substantial way to bring help to Japan that the Hamilton’s would not be able to give on their own. I know Damion & Julie’s heart is pure in this effort. I will be there!

Love ya buddy! Do it again on the 29th!!! Jules

Thanks for your comment Chad. I can appreciate that it might be seen that way if you didn’t have all of the information or if you didn’t know us or our hearts. The motivation behind this campaign is that we have already personally given a very sizable donation of our own and this is simply a way to take it one step further because of the relationship that we have in our business with those who are personally experiencing this tragedy. We considered doing an entire day of portraiture and donating all of the proceeds to Japan, but that simply limits the effort in a regional way. So, we thought that this would be a fun way to get everyone involved, to call attention to those in our lives who really are suffering, and even on a tiny scale, to provide everyone with a small way to give back, especially those who may have a heart to give, but may not have the resource in this economy. The multiplication of this event is really what makes the impact, so please do donate!! Thanks for listening.

This is clearly a way to get huge amount of traffic to your site. Why don’t you just donate the $1000 to Japan and encourage all your ten seconds for 10 cents people to donate a dollar (or more!) to help.
